Violin Concerto No.1

初演から時間が経ってしまいましたが、リサイタルでのバイオリン協奏曲第一番の演奏をアップロードしました。

編成は
solo violin, 2 oboes, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, strings
です。

リサイタルのプログラムに書いたプログラムノートを引用します。

"The story of this piece starts up in heaven.  The solo violin represents the son of god who decides to come down to the earth to see the world.  He is surprised by many things at first, but gradually learns and becomes attached to the life on the earth.  He recalls his earthly experience nostalgically in the cadenza.  With the calls of the bassoons and the horns in quadruplets, the son of god realizes that the time has come for him to go back to heaven; he bids farewell to the world and rises up to heaven."

この曲にあえて宗教的な意味は込めていないのですが、曲を書き始めた時に「バイオリンがオーケストラをリードする」という構図に神話のイメージを重ねたことから始まり、「天界から天子が降りて来て、地球で色々の経験をしてまた帰っていく。」というストーリーに落ち着きました。

これを第一楽章としていつか全三楽章構成の曲に仕上げたいところですが、まだ思案中です。
