一番好きな家事は、洗濯です。 こちらに来て、いつでも洗濯できるというのは当たり前じゃないんだなと実感しています。貯め込んだ洗濯ものを抱えて、25セントの硬貨を大量に用意してランドロマットに行く、ちょっとしたイベントです。
しかし、機械にお任せしておけばさっぱりと洗い上げてくれて、洋服がまたローテーションに復帰するのは気分がいいです。
I like washing the best of all the houseworks. I realized that it is not natural that I can wash clothes whenever I want, after I came here. I used to wash clothes more often when I was in Japan since there was a washing machine in my house. It is something, to go to the landromat outside the apartment, with a pile of clothes, and bunch of quarters. Anyway, I like it since all the process is operated by machines so I can do other stuff during waiting for it, and after about one and a half hour, all the clothes are coming back to the rotation and ready to wear.
